Kindergarten has changed since we were kids! Hear several local professionals as they discuss different aspects of kindergarten in Montgomery County, MD. Learn about programs available in Montgomery County and ways to help your child as they transition into kindergarten. We'll have plenty of time for questions and answers. Our speakers may include:
- MCPS Kindergarten teachers, who will describe a typical day, recent curriculum changes, and kindergarten readiness.
- A language immersion teacher, who will discuss language immersion programs in Montgomery County.
- An MCPS guidance counselor, who will offer transition tips and tell about support available for kindergarteners.
- A parent of SSDS alumni, who will talk about the parent perspective and discuss ways to get involved at your new school.
