We are excited to support your journey to achieve AASI Level III Certification!
We are taking steps to implement the modular method PSIA-AASI leaders from across the country approved for Snowboard Level III assessments. The modules at Level III are Riding Skills, Teaching/People Skills, and Movement Analysis/Technical Understanding. The modular approach provides candidates with the ability to focus on a narrower skillset at one time. At the Level III assessment, and eventually the Level II assessment, this will also allow a candidate to incrementally tackle certification—a “choose your own adventure” approach. Additionally, we will move towards the National adoption of paired assessors, providing greater opportunities for an impartial assessment and enhanced feedback.
The Eastern Region believes in the value these changes will offer and recognizes that they come at a substantial cost increase. As we transition to the modular format and concurring price structure, the Eastern Education Foundation will support those for whom the price increase causes undue hardship. For this year only, all members with the intent to register for a Snowboard Level III Assessment and who submit a photo of themselves snowboarding will qualify for financial assistance. Submitted photos may be published to PSIA-AASI social media accounts or publications.
Upon the review of this form by the PSIA-AASI Eastern Office, a gift card will be issued to your account to be applied ONLY to your Level III assessment registration fees for the 2024-2025 season.
