Women's Performance Camp Application - 24/25

Are you a Level III certified woman seeking that next step in your career as a snowsports instructor? Whether you're looking to become a resort trainer, training manager, education staff member or National Team member, the Women's Performance Camp is the perfect opportunity to grow your expertise and take your passion for snowsports to new heights. At this time, the program is open to Alpine, Snowboard and Telemark certified Level III members.

This immersive, two-day camp is designed for women who are ready to push their boundaries, both personally and professionally, in a positive, empowering environment. Led by top female PSIA-AASI Education Staff with years of experience, you'll have the chance to build community, fine-tune your skills, explore new techniques, and gear-up both mentally and physically for your next goal.

Interested members should submit an application by January 5, 2024 for selection by the Eastern Region office. For selected participants, the event is free to attend (inclusive of lift tickets), but participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and any other associated expenses. If selected, participants will be send a private registration link for the event.
 
This inaugural event will take place on March 13-14 at Windham Mountain Club.
 
LEARNING EXPERIENCES
Specific activities will vary depending on the group’s needs and environmental conditions and typically include:
• Receive personalized on-snow coaching, including video analysis, with a focus on adapting to steep and variable terrain.
• Explore activities designed to raise intensity while maintaining accuracy and build tactics in performance to highlight strengths.
• Participate in indoor presentations and group discussions covering a range of subjects including: equipment choices and troubleshooting, mental performance and workshopping personalized training plans.
 
LEARNING OUTCOMES
• An intensive exploration of technical, teaching, and people skills and how they affect your decision-making.
• A clearer understanding of movement analysis and the subsequent process of finding individualized focuses for you, the teachers you train, and your students.
• Knowledge of effective and relevant strategies to adapt to variable conditions and terrain.
• A personalized plan to move forward in your development as a snowsports professional.
• A stronger network of peers and the potential to join a community of like-minded women to provide ongoing support, inspiration, and professional opportunities as you progress in your career.
 
On Wednesday, January 15, eligible applicants will be selected. Selected candidates will receive a link to register for the event.  If any of the selected applicants are unable, or unwilling to attend the event, additional applicants will be selected and invited until the event is full or all eligible applicants have been selected.
