A Very Ukulele Holiday with Jazzy Ash | Free Ukulele Kits, Lessons and Holiday Performance
‘Tis the season for ukulele! Jazzy Ash invites the whole family to come along for an adventure to learn a new instrument and enjoy a holiday performance. Jazzy is a celebrated vocalist, writer, arts educator and tours the country performing jazz for young audiences.
Through the generosity of the Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation and a partnership with Giacoletti Music Center in Oceanside, register here to receive a free ukulele kit! Kits include lesson materials (in English or en español) and everyone has access to streaming beginner streaming lessons, all created by Jazzy. Find more information on our website.
Nov. 2: Registration begins for free ukulele kits. Pickup information will be sent in a confirmation email after this form is completed.
Dec. 19 – 23: Streaming beginner ukulele lessons from Jazzy Ash on our website.
Dec. 16 – 20: Streaming performance. Celebrate the season with “A Very Jazzy Holiday” concert by Jazzy Ash and her own ukulele. Available on our website.
Important Information:
Each free ukulele kit will include:
- a high-quality wood beginner ukulele instrument provided by Giacoletti's Music
- a printed beginner lesson booklet, created by Jazzy Ash (available in English or Español)
- tips, tricks and other fun resources and information from the Cultural Arts Office, our sponsors and partners
All kits will be picked up at a library location, selected below. Pickup will begin on December 1 and end December 8 during library curbside hours, Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More pickup information will be sent in a confirmation email after this form is submitted.
One kit per family; 150 kits will be available and the registration form will close when all kits are claimed.
Lesson materials are designed for beginners in grades 4-8.
