Community Arts Grants 2020

Thank you for your interest in applying for the City of Carlsbad's Community Arts Grants through the Cultural Arts Office for the 2020 funding cycle.
 
Applications are now being accepted through Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at 4 p.m.
 
**To all applicants: the CAG 2020 cycle will be an abbreviated funding period, with eligible projects taking place between Jan. 1, 2020 and June 30, 2020.** Before completing the application, be sure to read the Community Arts Grants 2019 Guidelines and other program information on our website.
 
Tips for completing your application:
- All questions are required unless otherwise marked. Please be aware the form will let you submit without completing all questions, so please be sure to review before submitting. Incomplete applications will not be considered for funding.
- Only press the 'submit' button if you are finished with your application and wish to submit your finalized version. If you are participating in the staff review offering, you will select that box but do not submit the application. We will review your information as provided on the staff review deadline.
- When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Please note, incomplete or non-submitted applications will not be accepted.

As an Arts Organization, would you be interested in acting as a Fiscal Sponsor for individual artists to apply for future Community Arts Grants? This would not impact your own organization's ability to apply for funding. If you check yes, Cultural Arts Office staff will reach out with more information. We appreciate your support of individual artists! (OPTIONAL)
For which funding category are you filling out this application?
Please note: Arts Organizations may apply for a Capacity Building grant in addition to an Arts Project grant. Each funding category must have its own application, as the requirements vary per funding category. While there is some duplication, the majority of information in these applications is different.

Staff Review

Would you like to participate in an application review by Cultural Arts Staff?
As a resource to our applicants, staff will take a preliminary review of your information and provide feedback on points of clarification and completeness. Staff will not provide feedback on content (whether to provide dance or music classes, for example), but rather whether the information is complete, provides a clear picture of your request and if there are any questions. If you select this option, staff will review all completed information at the time of staff review deadline submission.
 
Any organization that would like to take advantage of staff review will need to input information into the application by Sept. 13. **Please note** Do NOT hit the submit button unless you are submitting your final application. If any organization checks "Yes" in this section, we will review what you have completed by Sept. 13. 
 
All feedback will be returned by Sept. 27, and you will have the opportunity to edit and/or update your application as you see fit, then submit again before the Oct. 14 deadline. You will not need to fill out multiple applications - all edits will be made within one form.
