The day will also include motivational speakers, informational booths, and much more! We hope this event will further educate the public about cancer and provide support to women who have lost their hair during their treatment.
We would love to have you join whether you plan to cut your locks, support your family memeber or friend who is going to Make the Cut, to learn more about cancer, or you just want to support a great cause!

Where will the ponytails go?

The ponytails collected will be donated to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Campaign. Pantene is partnered with the American Cancer Society to collect eligible ponytails and transform them into real-hair wigs FREE of charge to women who have lost hair due to chemotherapy treatments. Today the campaign has collected over a quarter of a million ponytails and our event will only add to this number! Can you think of an easier or more personal way to give of yourself to help someone? For more information about this campaign, please click the link below.

Why does this matter?

Roughly 774,370 American women were diagnosed with cancer in 2011, and one in three women will develop some form of cancer in her lifetime. These statistics make it abundantly clear that cancer will affect each one of us in some way. Hair loss, one of the most common side effects of cancer treatment, can be especially traumatic for a woman fighting cancer.
