The Department of Developmental Services,
the California Department of Education,
and the WestEd Center for Prevention and Early Intervention
are pleased to introduce interactive, facilitated online learning!

EARLY START ONLINE provides foundational knowledge and basic skills practice through interactive, facilitated learning: narrated presentations, individual learning activities, online group interaction, and ongoing monitoring by parent-professional facilitator teams. The Foundations Series courses provide content on critical Early Start requirements, procedures and practices. There are three courses in the Foundations series (see the attached PDF). This program year, two Foundations courses are available for participation during the Winter and Spring sessions. The third course in the Foundations Series will be available August 2012. Participants must complete all three Foundations Series courses before attending the Foundations Institute (November 2012).
