The Harold Alfond College Challenge
Casting Call Events RSVP

Every Maine baby under one year of age is eligible to become an Alfond Baby and receive a $500 grant for future higher education from the Harold Alfond College Challenge. To celebrate this lasting gift to Maine, all current and future Alfond Babies under age one are invited to attend a Casting Call to find the Future Faces of Maine. A professional photographer will take a free photograph of your baby - and your baby's picture may be selected to be in future advertisements!

Join us for a Casting Call near you.

You can complete the NextGen® account to receive the Alfond Grant while at the event. We’ll have people to help – remember to bring social security numbers (or taxpayer IDs) for you, your baby and spouse if applicable.

Please RSVP to the event you will be attending.

Check which event you will attend.
You may drop in anytime during the event. The photographers and application assistance will be available the entire time.

We'll be in other Maine towns soon. Check back here to see when we will be in a town near you!

Has your baby already received the $500 Alfond Grant?

The Alfond Grant is awarded to a NextGen College Investing Plan® account. NextGen® is a Section 529 plan administered by FAME. Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, a registered broker-dealer, Member SIPC, is the program manager and underwriter. Before investing you should carefully consider the investment objectives, charges, expenses and risks of investing in the NextGen Plan. You should also consider whether your or the designated beneficiary's home state offers any state tax or other benefits that are only available for investments in such state's 529 plan. Request a Program Description from your Maine bank or financial advisor, or call FAME at 1-800-228-3734 and read it carefully.
